PASSION
So far this year I have had two great shoots, and both experiences have just increased my desire to do more. I truly love what I'm doing and quite sad now that my course is drawing to a close. The final year has definitely been the best year of my uni experience because I feel like I now have a better understanding of my course and the fashion industry as a whole, I also have a clearer idea of where I would like to go after uni.
Now my final deadline is in over a month and I'm considering squeezing in one more shoot before the hand in. I don't need to do this as I have already produced a shoot for the project, but I truly enjoy shooting, and because this shoot will not be necessary and really just a bonus to the project, it'll take away the pressure and allow me to really relax this time around.
so shoot number 2 may be on its way, still keeping to the themes of destruction and human fragility!!

OUTCOMES
After hours of hard work, we were were all pleased with the outcome.
It was a pleasure to work with upcoming model Ashleigh Elcock and talented photographer Raluca.

Shoot day !!!
The cracks were first applied to the models face.
make-up inspiration
These next two images, are taken from my research. Cracks is a reoccurring feature in my fragility trend so I decided that it would be great to apply cracks to the models face. I looked at a series of photographs that used cracks on skin. These included the work of Daniel Regan.
This image shows the outcome for the distressed tshirt.
After the bleach had dried, it produced these interesting outcome.
After shredding the fabric I was still unsatisfied, and began to think of additional ways of distressing fabric. I then decided to pour bleach in various areas areas of the T-shirt.
This image is the outcome of the shredded Tshirt

Using a stitch picker I then began to pull on the loose pieces of thread. I continued doing this until the ladder went up vertically along the Tshirt.
In preparation for the fragility shoot, I looked at various websites on how to shred fabrics. The outcome of the fragility shoot is to convey vulnerability and I knew shredding fabric would be a great way of expressing this on a garment. I began the shredding process by cutting the hem of the Tshirt.

My work
For my final major project it is a requirement to produce a shoot. I've decided to create trends that are both reactions to the aftermath of war. The names of the two trends are fragility and destruction. The fragility trend will consists of a shoot, at the moment I've been researching the work of various photographers in order to gain some inspiration for the overall look of the shoot. Chadwick Tyler has been extremely inspirational. His work captures the meaning of the fragility trend.
I'm currently in my final year of fashion design and atm working on my final major project. Art has always been a huge part of my life since I can remember :).
During my degree I have had the opportunity of studying the several aspects of fashion given me a broader understanding of the subject.
This is the first styling shoot I ever put together!! I remember being so apprehensive before hand as I didn't know what to expect, but the day turned out to be fantastic. I had a brilliant team who worked diligently to create this stunning outcome.
